With just under 100,000 inhabitants Gütersloh, is one of the largest districts in North Rhine-Westphalia.
At the end of November Porta opened its newest furniture store which has 28,500m² of sales space.

Porta - one of the largest furnishing companies in Germany with 21 locations - therefore created alongside shop fitters Ubert its 12th franchised Segafredo Espresso Bar - after Aachen, Bielefeld, Bornheim, Braunschweig, Cologne/Frechen, Cologne/Lind, Magdeburg, Porta Westfalica, Potsdam, Zwickau and Hanover.

On the opening day visitors stormed the espresso bar, which is why senior manager Eric Hagelstein got involved and provided strong support for the barista team in preparing around 5,000 cups of espresso and cappuccino.

The 90m² espresso bar in the red-black Segafredo Zanetti design used around the world is located in the entrance area of the furniture store. Tobias Spuhl's team also spoils his guests on the inviting terrace, which houses 20 seats, with original Italian speciality coffee (espresso €1.60, cappuccino €2.10, latte macchiato €2.30), sweet desserts and tasty tapas dishes such as Dolce Vita that are served throughout the day. Opening hours: Mon - Fri 10;00-1900, Sat 10.00-1800.

After Ludwigsburg, Hanover and Erlangen this is the fourth franchised bar opened by Segafredo Zanetti Deutschland GmbH in 2011.

Segafredo Zanetti, Europe's top espresso supplier to catering outlets, is dedicated to the global distribution of original Italian coffee with the motto "il vero espresso italiano". In line with this mission, around 600 original franchised Segafredo espresso bars act around the world as ambassadors of Italian café culture.
In 2011 cafés were also opened in such places as Phuket, Cairo, Lausanne, Rabat, Seoul, Bern, Zurich, Nantes, Bangkok, Singapore and Vienna.
