The Fondazione Zanetti Onlus was founded by the Zanetti family with purely humanitarian aims. It has been awarded NPO status.
The main objective of the foundation is to provide aid to children from all over the world living in poverty and isolation.
One of the first activities undertaken by the foundation was its support for a project based in Burkina Faso, the poorest country in the world.
The initiative, Burkina 2007, is also promoted by Marcello Lippi and focuses on developing agriculture in order to combat malnutrition, which has climbed to 23%. It also plans to build a new hospital to combat childhood mortality, which currently stands at 20% within the first year of life due to meningitis, cholera and AIDS epidemics.
The Fondazione Zanetti will also focus its attention on the local situation, promoting initiatives designed to reduce psychological distress in children. This alarming phenomenon can cause irreversible damage over time.
In order to help it achieve its aims, the foundation is pleased to accept all contributions from public bodies, businesses and individuals who share our beliefs and wish to contribute to the cause.
